One energy user had incurred thousands of dollars in penalties over a three-year period, stemming from a utility company's misapplication of payments for multiple plant sites. The costs snowballed when the utility company then labeled the customer as "late pay" and funneled subsequent payments into deposit accounts.

As a new EMR client, we investigated the customer's transaction history, discovered the errors and facilitated communication between the utility company and the customer's accounts receivable department. With EMR's assistance, this client was able to receive a full credit for more than $8,000 in penalty charges and unnecessary deposits.

Invoice audits conducted by EMR saved one customer around $50,000, due to incorrect prices listed on invoices for a client's multiple plant locations in one area.
